Although many people may have heard jazz bands improvising on music by J.S. Bach, has anyone ever heard an improvisation on music by a well-known living composer? As far as we know, this has never been tried before. Come to New Music Jam and explore this uncharted territory with the musicians.
Brendan Faegre from Edge Ensemble will be hosting the evening. We will start with an improvisation around David Lang's "killer" by musicians (who attended a workshop shortly before the performance), followed by a prepared improvisation around Donnacha Dennehy's "Glamour Sleeper" by Edge Ensemble.
The workshop starts at 18.15hrs and is open to all interested musicians (intermediate level and up).
Please let us know if you want to join the workshop by sending a mail to firstname.lastname@example.org
Anyone who wants can come. At 19.00 Juni Café in Het Nutshuis serves a delicious dish of the day before the concert for just €8.50. Or you can simply come to the concert of course...
