Since the early 2000, Associação Cultural Videobrasil has taken on an inspiring and responsible cultural endeavour: documenting on film the thoughts, works, and production processes of several major contemporary artists from the southern hemisphere circuit. Videobrasil Authors Collection was born as a result, a series of 6 documentaries produced during the last decade with the support of Prince Claus Fund and SESC Sao Paulo. The films focus on fundamental works produced in quite different spaces, contexts and media, yet sharing political and social themes.

Previously screened only in international art festivals, the films have never been shown on television. Het Nutshuis Den Haag presents them in premiere in The Netherlands.
