More and more artists are becoming inspired by a 1 to 1 relationship with their spectators. Earlier this year, for example, Marina Abramovic conducted interviews with members of her audience on stage in the MoMA in New York, and performance artist David Weber Krebs used the telephone to speak to spectators roaming around the streets of Amsterdam.

On 19 November, six artists from a range of disciplines will be putting on six very special performances in Het Nutshuis, designed specifically for you. All six have explored Het Nutshuis from top to bottom and each has found a spot in which he or she is keen to meet you. From a personal conversation to a sound experience; they will all be very different. The only thing they will have in common is that they have all been specially produced for one person.

Important
On the evening of 19 November, we will be transforming Het Nutshuis Café into a cosy, friendly spot where you can watch films while enjoying a drink and a bite to eat. When it is your turn to visit a performance, you will be collected and taken to a particular location inside the building. There, you will spend 5, 10 or 15 minutes experiencing the performance concerned. It is essential that you make a reservation by e-mail so that all the performances can be attended by as many people as possible. On Thursday 18 November we will let you know your personal schedule (we will make it as economical as possible, a maximum of 2 hours in total).

TEST is a programme (6 x per year) for sound, space and experiment, at which composers, performance artists, visual artists and other creative spirits produce and demonstrate their latest performance experiments. Our focus is to develop interaction within a generation of young artists, which will prove to be a source of inspiration for this city. The next edition of TEST Extra is planned for 15 January and will on this occasion be held in the impressive space inside the Grote Kerk with a minimum of 30 harmoniums.
If you have an idea you would like to try out or for which you need a space like Het Nutshuis, simply send an e-mail to Mirjam Zweers - zweers@nutshuis.nl
