TEST is a program for sound, space, and experimentation. Where composers, visual artists and other creative spirits will be putting on a range of exciting performances.

On the 26th of June five composers will be presenting their pieces. This TEST is loosely arranged around George Crumb's madrigal books instrumentation. Five young composers have written or arranged a piece especially for the occasion.

Among other things they will create tongue twisters, wordplay and spacious poetry. The texts used, in various languages, are mainly short fragments or extracts of complete poems, or even just the broken sounds of words. The program will last about one hour.

Next Season
The next edition of TEST Extra will be on Saturday the 18th of September (20.00 hours).
TEST is an experiment with sound and space. During the years, Het Nutshuis was put to a whole variety of uses by SZ, The big ensemble, different composers, many art/science students and musicians. In the 2010-2011 season, the composition department of the Royal Conservatoire will once again descend upon Het Nutshuis in December, February and June. The students will be demonstrating experiments that they have been working on in Het Nutshuis during the preceding week.

TEST Extra in September, November, January, March and May is created to give others a chance to also use the space in Het Nutshuis for creative experiments.
