The culinary workshop and wine tasting is an extraordinary event and a true delight for the gourmands.
On 8 November at 18:15 all those interested in a new type of social and gastro-cultural experience are invited in Het Nutshuis at the culinary workshop “Gastronomic pleasure form Croatia”. Two prominent cooks from Croatia will welcome the participants with traditional drinks and bites. The chef, Mr. Igor Cupahin, will introduce the Croatian food habits and explain why Croats are very proud of their gastronomic traditions, and although there are regional differences, people can easily spot that the fresh grill and daily baking are consistent across the country. Mr. Cupahin will be in charge for the group that will prepare the main dish. The starter will be presented by Ms. Renata Nola.
Good, tasty wines are inevitable part of Croatian everyday life. During the collective dinner and also while the participants are cooking, they will enjoy the taste of white Grasevina and red Mali Plavac, both prominent wine sorts from Croatia. Trvarica as aperitif and digestive is also on the menu.
This relaxed social atmosphere will be spiced up with Balkan chill out music and design corner of 2 fashion designers: Marjana Kramaric and Iva Jankovic.

A comedy tinged drama,/documentary, boasting a plethora of awards. The story follows the lives of military cooks, revealing how the basic necessity of feeding thousands of soldiers can effect the victories and defeats of statesmen. The film focuses on the field kitchen as a model world where food preparation becomes a strategy of war - a struggle for the great ideal - using the strong legs of the kitchen table for support. The film is based on eleven recipes from military cooks dating from the Second World War all the way to the war in Tchechenia - from France through to the Balkans and Russia.
