“I think everyone recognizes the moment in which you realize you are no longer child”, Hassan Akkouch.
The Akkouch siblings are three young talented dancers and musicians well known in the street dance and hip hop scene in Berlin. They have lived in the district of Neukölln since early childhood, but although their family has spent the past 18 years in Germany, their residency status is still unresolved. The youngsters live in constant fear of being deported to Lebanon and with the pressure of finding a solution to avoid it.
The dodo (Raphus Cucullatus) stood about a metre tall, weighing about 20 kilos, living on fruit and nesting on the ground. DoDo is the documentary film programme in Het Nutshuis. We screen on the third Thursday of the month..
